Although children and teens use media around the world, most of the research on the media and technology-related processes and effects on child and adolescent development come from samples in the United States and Western Europe. Working with scholars at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea, we are working to better understand the intersection between development and media within the cultural context of South Korea using a variety of methodological approaches. This work is aimed to grow our global understanding of the role of media and technology in shaping child development.
