The Human Development and Media Lab at UC Davis has partnered with LingoKids to evaluate two versions of their smartphone and tablet application (app). While it is clear that young children (preschoolers) can learn from apps, it is still not known what types of designs best support their learning. We are running an eight-week longitudinal study at a local preschool to test out different app designs.
