Media and the Developing Child; Emotion, Race, and Learning

Research on the intersection between child development and media/technology use often draws from samples of White, middle-class children and parents, and neglects important nuances in the family processes that shape how children engage with media and technology. This project uses a diverse sample of parents of children ages 3 to 7 to better understand processes shaping how children learn from media and technology, how media and technology influence children's emotional development, and the role of race and ethnic identity in shaping how families engage with children's media.
