Bio
Dr. Kim's research broadly focuses on media effects and the ways digital and emerging technologies shape individuals’ well-being and development. Her work examines how children and adolescents engage with YouTube, artificial intelligence (AI), and social media, and how these experiences relate to their social, emotional, and cognitive outcomes. Methodologically, she uses longitudinal surveys, content analysis, and computational approaches to examine media use and its effects over time.
